The Pennsauken School District has submitted to the State of New Jersey all necessary information regarding P-EBT benefits. The information the State of NJ has asked for was based off of your child's 2023-2024 Free and Reduced Meal Application. If you did not submit a Free and Reduced application in SY 2023-2024, you are not eligible for P-EBT benefits as per the State and Federal Government. The school district is not permitted to back date or redetermine applications from prior years. If you have questions about your P-EBT card, please contact the P-EBT hotline at 1-800-997-3333 or go to https://www.njsnap.gov
Refund Procedure
There is a basic procedure to follow if your child has graduated or left Pennsauken School District and you wish to have a refund on any remaining balance that may be in his\her PAYPAMS account. Please follow the instructions below.
A letter or email must be sent to the Food and Nutrition Department and must contain the following:
- The name of the student you are seeking a refund for
- Your name and relationship to the student (we are only able to refund the balances to the parent or guardian on file with the school district)
- The amount you are seeking a refund for. This cannot exceed what is in the PAYPAMS account.
- The address you wish to have the refund sent.
- Contact information (phone or email) should we have questions.
Once the Food and Nutrition Department is in receipt of the letter or email authorizing us to refund the amount in PAYPAMS, the amount will be added to the Pennsauken Board of Education Bill list and voted on at the normal conference meeting. (Note: if this information is not received by the time the current month's bill list is prepared, it would then be moved to the following months bill list).
After the Pennsauken Board of Education has approved the bill list, a check will be generated by the accounts payable department and mailed to the address requested.
If you are interested in transferring money from one child's account to another child's account, please call or email the Food and Nutrition Department with all necessary information on both accounts.
Emails should be sent to kmeloni@pennsauken.net and hkaraman@pennsauken.net

Special Dietary Needs
Pennsauken School District recognizes that many children require special dietary needs due to allergies. The Food and Nutrition Department work together with each individual School Nurse to ensure that we can offer the appropriate diet for Pennsauken Students.
In order to accurately service your child with the correct diet, we will need information from the Nursing Staff. Please click on the “Health Services” link under the “Department” tab on the main screen of this website. This tab will contain information that the district will need in order to accommodate your child with any special diet that he\she may require.
If you should have any questions, please contact either your School Nurse or the Food and Nutrition Department.
